5) Use of Customer Data for Direct Advertising
5.1 – Advertising by Postal Mail
Based on our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, postal address, and – if we have received this additional information from you within the scope of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth, and professional, industry, or business designation in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and to use them for sending interesting offers and information about our products by postal mail. You can object to the storage and use of your data for this purpose at any time by sending a corresponding message to the data controller.
5.2 – Email Notification of Product Availability
For temporarily unavailable items, you can sign up to receive email notifications of product availability. In this case, we will send you a one-time email notification about the availability of the selected item. The mandatory information for sending this notification is solely your email address. Providing additional data is voluntary and may be used to address you personally. For sending emails, we use the double opt-in procedure, which ensures that you receive a notification only if you have expressly confirmed your consent by clicking on a verification link sent to the email address provided.
By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. In this process, we store your IP address as entered by the Internet service provider (ISP), as well as the date and time of registration, in order to be able to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later time. The data collected during the registration for our email notification service for product availability will be used strictly for the intended purpose. You can unsubscribe from availability notifications at any time by sending a corresponding message to the data controller mentioned above. After unsubscribing, your email address will be immediately deleted from our distribution list, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data for other purposes that are legally permitted and about which we inform you in this statement.
6) Data Processing for Order Processing
6.1 – Transmission of Image Files for Order Processing via Upload Function
On our website, we offer customers the opportunity to personalize products by submitting image files through an upload function. The submitted image will be used as a template for personalizing the selected product. Through the upload form on the website, the customer can directly transmit one or more image files from the storage of the device used via automated, encrypted data transmission. We collect, store, and use the submitted files exclusively for the production of the personalized product in accordance with the respective service description on our website. If the submitted image files are passed on to specialized service providers for the production and processing of the order, you will be explicitly informed about this in the following paragraphs. There will be no further disclosure. If the submitted files or digital images contain personal data (especially images of identifiable individuals), all the aforementioned processing operations will be carried out exclusively for the purpose of processing your online order in accordance with Art.
